Published Thu / June 6 / 2013

To Members of the Finnish Business Council in Shanghai

One key aspect of the Team Finland approach, which was launched last year, was to enhance the contacts and business opportunities of Finnish companies by opening doors to local decision-makers. Visits to local authorities in Shanghai and in the surrounding provinces are part of Team Finland Shanghai's "business as usual". We would be keen to explore the willingness of Finnish companies to join in on these visits.

Team Finland Shanghai will visit the city of Kunshan on 28 June. The delegation will be led by Mrs. Marja Aspelund, Consul General of Finland. The visit will focus in the development of Kunshan and provides an opportunity for Finnish companies to present their expertise in environmentally sustainable construction and other relevant areas such as the well-being sector. The leadership of Kunshan will meet with the delegation and attend a briefing in which the companies can present their business. Departure from Shanghai will be at 11 am on Friday, 28 June (details to be confirmed), and return in the same evening.

Finnish company representatives interested in joining the visit are kindly requested to contact Ms. Qian Xin, Assistant to Consul General, for further details ([a] The costs for the visit are to be borne by the participants themselves.

Finnish companies not able to join the visit are welcome to send any relevant questions, comments or concerns that they would like to see raised during the official meeting with local leaders.

The final list of participants will be confirmed on Thursday, 20 June.

On behalf of Team Finland Shanghai,

Arto Haapea

Altogether 50 respondents participated in the survey. We thank all participants for their invaluable contribution.
