Please join us for a joint-Nordic event hosted by the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in China.

Listen to international trends and latest news in the CSR area with Bengt Johansson. How does the CSR work in China develop? What have we learned in the Swedish business community about CSR aspects in doing business in the Suzhou/Kunshan/Wuxi/Changzhou area?

A lot of things have happened last year in the CSR area such as the EU directive on CSR reporting, the negotiations about a binding international treaty on business & human rights. CSR has been a focal point in the PRC government’s policy. State owned companies and many listed companies are obliged to present full CSR reports. Recent economic slowdown might divide the Chinese companies into international-minded companies who continue ambitious CSR policies and less ambitious domestic oriented companies.
Swedish companies have internationally had CSR and its various components such as care for environment, good labour conditions and anti-corruption as part of their image. Can we live up to this in China?
